How often should I replace my HDD?

Answer

A hard disk drive (HDD) is a consumable part.
Although its lifetime depends on the use environment, when it is used at 25 ℃;
- running over 20000 hours can cause write error
- running over 30000 hours can cause HDD failure due to the deterioration of head and motor

For secure data management, we recommend:
- replacing an HDD before reaching18000-hour operation
- maintaining the ambient temperature at around 25 ℃
*Please note that this is our estimated replacement period for reference and we do not guarantee the lifetime of your HDDs.

"HDD hour meter warning" will notify you of reaching 20000-hour operation. Contact your dealer when an error occurs with your HDDs or for buying / replacing HDDs.
